More than 500 years of existence..
The Domaine le Manoir dates from the 17th century. It was the hunting lodge of Château Hautefort (l'Authentique gite). The estate has remained in the same family for hundreds of years. The main house has been completely renovated (the old stables) and is where we now live as a family. The BOUW family bought the estate in 2016 and we are fortunate to be the new owners of this very special place.
For the record: By a contract dated eleven messidor to the ninth of the republic (1800), signed before Mr Sengerisse, notary in Thenon, Sieur Arnoud Charles Emmanuel d'Hautefort gave Guillaume Grand an estate situated in the Lieu-dit de Fossemagne, in return for an annual and perpeaulle annuity of 52 Francs.On the death of Armand Charles Emmanuel his heir was Arnaud Joseph Cammielle d'Hautefort (Oct. 1820). This property was enjoyed by Théré Grand by contract of 04-12-1692.

the Domaine Le Manoir offers you 2 charming and characterful gîtes in a privileged environment in the middle of 10 hectares of breathtaking scenery! The Domaine is ideally located near the most important places of interest in the Périgord Noir. Our gîtes offer an unobstructed view of the property and what a pleasure it is to walk around in complete privacy. The rental includes a terrace and a swimming pool for each gîte with a capacity of 6 or 4 people (possibility of accommodating groups of up to 10 people). The Domaine Le Manoir is located at 4 km from all the amenities. We are pleased to welcome you all year long for your vacations or for a 2-night minimum stay to discover the region (*only outside of the summer season)

The ancient city of Périgueux, capital of the Dordogne, is 24 km away. The access to the Domaine is very simple, close to the A89 motorway connecting Brive to Bordeaux

Your Environment
Our cottages are located in the center of the 10 hectare property, with no neighbors or neighbors to be seen. Each cottage has its own swimming pool and terrace which are exclusively dedicated to you. The Domaine is surrounded by splendid blue fir trees (imported from Canada many years ago), meadows, forest land and numerous fruit trees: cherry, apple, pear, mulberry, apricot, as well as walnut, chestnut and hazelnut trees. Our travelers are welcome to walk around the property. The Spa (Nordic Bath) is a pure moment of relaxation, a magical moment on board a wooden sauna in the middle of the country setting
